Success Stories
Jewels of Africa Foundations was able to pick up these Jewels from the streets and position them back into formal education after either been previously rejected from public school systems or left behind with little hope to further their education.
They have been positioned in private schools to help revive and position them for higher learning.
Thanking all our partners and donors for igniting the hopes of these Jewels in an amazing way.

Some years ago, I was like other girls with dreams but without clarity on how to achieve them. I had lofty goals of becoming great, living a purpose-driven life, and inspiring people but lacked the resources to make it a set reality. Like Martin Luther King Jr. said,’ I had a dream,’ but I needed a platform to live them.
I’m Funmilayo, a beneficiary of the Jewel Of Africa (JOA) Foundation. I’m an Automobile Engineering student studying at Elizade University Ilara-Mokin. This is my story!
I was opportune to become a beneficiary of the Jewel Of Africa (JOA) Foundation, helping several lives like me transform their dreams into reality from my secondary school. One thing that distinguishes the JOA foundation from other foundations is the selection process of its beneficiaries. They prioritize academic brilliance and the financial strength of their heirs. These criteria opened the door for me to become this excellent foundation support beneficiary. JOA Foundation changed the trajectory of my academic life from uncertainty to one that gives me the power of strategic planning, from poor and substandard educational knowledge to top-tier level.
First, the JOA Foundation facilitated a change in my secondary school from a public secondary school with low-quality educational resources to one of the best schools in the state and country. Also, the JOA Foundation is funding my tertiary education at Elizade University, Ilara-Mokin. That’s not all. Before gaining admission, the Jewel Of Africa Foundation had a comprehensive career talk and purpose discovery session with me. With this, I realized there’s more to academics than just studying any course. Learning a course I am passionate about that aligns with my purpose is the master key to living a fulfilling life.
The JOA foundation also shows exemplary leadership in community growth by encouraging and supporting me to give back to the community by serving as a volunteer for impactful visions during the summer holidays. Since I became a beneficiary, the JOA Foundation has not only been tremendously supportive to me financially but has also been of substantial psychological, mental, and emotional support. They gave me access to opportunities to broaden my worldview while also strengthening my confidence that there’s no limit to what I can achieve with excellence and hard work.
I am eternally grateful to the Jewel Of Africa Foundation for giving me the platform and financial support I need to fulfill my dreams. Not only have they kept my dreams and aspirations alive, but they have also continued to fan them with unlimited access to both local and international opportunities.
God Bless JOA Foundation.
God Bless All Her Donors.
God Bless Nigeria.

I deeply appreciate the rare privilege given to me by Jewel of Africa Foundation (JOA) to see my dream come to reality. I appreciate their unalloyed support, encouragement and concern in pursuit of my goal. It was my third time of writing JAMB that I met JOA . I had written two Post UTME by then. In fact, I had started getting frustrated before I met them.
Coming across JOA was God in action towards my breakthrough. JOA conducted JAMB lessons for me through their college preparatory program and their effort regarding my success and gaining admissions to study pharmacy at OAU is truly messianic.
I wholeheartedly appreciate JOA offering me a full University scholarship and for all they have been doing to make my career dream a reality.
Oyedele Boluwatife
Medicine & Surgery
Babcock University, Nigeria
My name is Oyedele Boluwatife and I am a 500 level medical student at Babcock university.
It’s been a roller coaster of a journey for me these past few years and I can’t actually believe that I am almost close to achieving my dream of being a medical doctor, all thanks to Jewels of Africa. A dream is a wish your heart makes and just like the Cinderella story, Jewels of Africa has been my fairy godmother, helping me make my dream come true.
Five years of constant care, love, and provision all from Jewels of Africa Foundation.
I am grateful for this foundation and to everyone who is the backbone to this foundation. Thank you for making a poor girl’s dream come through. Thank you for the opportunities, thank you for standing by my side. Thank you for lifting the burden off my family’s shoulder.
I am so grateful to God for sending you as an angel to make my dream become a reality through your generosity and support. Thank you for picking this random poor girl who had no hopes of what tomorrow held and giving her a beautiful future.
My promise to you is that I will forever make you proud and through your generosity via Jewels of Africa, it is my hope someday to help the poor, sick, and take the homeless off the streets.
Dideolu Onibonokuta
Law
Elizade University, Ilara Mokin, Nigeria
I’m writing to convey my heartfelt appreciation to Jewels of Africa (JOA) for the great support towards my education because this generosity has enabled my ambition realizable.
Prior to receiving this scholarship, my goals of pursuing a higher education appeared unreachable, but the full scholarships (Tuitions, Fees, Boarding & Books) offered by JOA has helped me enormously and kept me going.
I am currently in my penultimate year studying law, which has always been a passion of mine, and I am thrilled that things are moving forward. Through this opportunity, I have been able to participate in numerous internship programmes organized by my school at the end of each session. These programmes have been more enlightening, exposing me to the realities of the procedural part of law.
All became achievable through the support of JOA. This has then encouraged me to want to help others and give back to my community. I hope that someday, I will be able to assist the underprivileged, underserved, and underrepresented individuals, as they rely extensively on the legal system to protect their rights and gain the benefits to which they are entitled.
Thanking Jewels of Africa Foundations for making my dreams come true and transforming my life.

Jewels of Africa Foundations gave me a family, a purpose and a hope to hold unto when doubt about the future set in.
Today, I believe that my dreams are valid and achievable, and I can become an accomplished Pharmacist, answer to people’s prayers, and be the best woman I want to be — thanks to the impact of the mentorship, exposure, and support provided by JOA.
At every moment, JOA reminds us to look beyond our challenges. By teaching us the means to always be positive, hardworking, focused, and goal-driven, we are handheld to scale through everything that presents itself as an obstacle in our way.
Did I tell you?! JOA is God’s blessing to me. A great blessing that I’m eternally grateful for.
More than words could say, JOA is like my umbrella in the rain of life.
